Event Overview

Event Type: Technical Skills Training & Knowledge Transfer

Format: Multi-session workshop series with hands-on labs (4 sessions of 2 hours each).

Primary Objective: Equip junior students with essential version control skills and industry-standard collaboration practices.

Planning & Organization

As Workshop Coordinator & Lead Instructor, I designed the progressive learning path, coordinated scheduling, prepared lab exercises, and ensured technical readiness of the labs.

Workshop Curriculum

  • Session 1: Git Fundamentals (Init, Clone, Stage, Commit)
  • Session 2: GitHub Collaboration (PRs, Issues, Forking)
  • Session 3: Security Best Practices (SSH, Branch Protection)
  • Session 4: CI/CD Pipelines (GitHub Actions, Workflows)

Teaching Methodology

Adopted a progressive complexity approach with real-world examples and live coding. Focused on problem-solving and practical application for internships and jobs.

Impact & Outcomes

Participants gained confidence in version control, immediately applying skills to academic projects. The workshop established a knowledge-sharing culture and prepared students for professional environments.
